However now it appears the tree is performing by itself.

“I remember saying hurriedly that it was gone” after discovering the felled sycamore in Northumberland, England, the ranger, Gary Pickles, stated in a message despatched to NPR.

So Pickles was tickled to identify indicators of recent life when he visited the tree web site on a latest stroll. There, ringing the bottom of its stump, have been eight small shoots, sporting delicate younger leaves.
