South Korean girl group Itzy debuts their new album Crazy In Love at No. 2 on this week’s Gaon Albums chart, the ranking of the bestselling EPs and full-lengths in the country. The band comes in behind only NCT 127’s Sticker, which proves to be unbeatable as it earns a second frame atop the tally. While the set might not have conquered the important and competitive list, it still performed well enough as it arrived to make history.
According to Hanteo, another one of the most important data gatherers and chart companies in South Korea, Itzy’s Crazy In Love was not just a hit as it debuted, but a historic sales win for the band. The set reportedly sold an incredible 259,000 copies in the first seven days it was available for purchase. That sum is large enough for the title to rank as one of the 10 largest opening frames among releases by girl groups in South Korean history.
In fact, with 259,000 copies sold in just one week, Itzy’s Crazy In Love helps the band continue to rank as one of only four girl groups who have scored one of the 10 largest sales frames in the country (among all-female releases). The only other three names who appear inside that top 10 ranking include Blackpink, Twice and Iz*One, who split up earlier this year.
Crazy In Love now holds the record for the second-largest sales frame of 2021 among projects pushed by girl groups in South Korea. The title comes in behind only Twice’s Taste of Love.
In its first tracking week, Crazy In Love managed to sell more than 50,000 copies in four different days. That kind of continued performance is reserved for only the biggest and most successful acts in the South Korean music industry.

Crazy In Love is Itzy’s first full-length, and it arrives years after the girl group debuted. Since dropping their first project in early 2019, the all-female vocal outfit has delivered a number of beloved collections, with all of their EPs finding their way into the top 10 on the Gaon charts. Their latest set is powered by lead single “Loco,” which starts off as one of the 10 bestselling titles in the territory this frame.
