“Rush Hour 4” is off to the races … pre-production is beginning inside weeks, cementing Brett Ratner‘s return to Hollywood, TMZ has discovered.
Perceive the phrases comin’ out of our mouth … the fourth installment within the standard franchise starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan was greenlit final November — shortly after President Trump randomly mentioned he missed old-school buddy-cop comedies … particularly saying there wanted to be one other ‘Rush Hour.’
A supply with direct information tells TMZ … ‘RH4’ is totally taking place — and shortly — with pre-production set to start inside weeks, as spring arrives.
We hear taking pictures will start this fall — and, in fact, Chris and Jackie are connected to star.
The movie is an enormous deal for a few causes … primarily, it marks Brett Ratner’s return to Hollywood after he was banished from the business in 2017 amid #MeToo allegations — which he has vehemently denied. Ratner, who lately helmed the record-breaking First Woman documentary “Melania,” will return because the director and co-producer of ‘RH4.’
Our supply tells us … whereas Brett’s success with ‘Melania’ is nice … ‘RH4’ was already fast-tracked after Trump voiced his assist — which can also be a reasonably large freaking deal. Paramount’s dealing with the discharge on behalf of Warner Bros.
