$500K in Stolen Nike Objects Recovered

The Los Angeles Police Division says its raid at CoolKicks L.A. recovered $500K in stolen merchandise — together with over 2,100 pairs of unreleased Nike sneakers

The LAPD introduced on Monday a number of divisions teamed as much as execute a search warrant on the CoolKicks L.A. warehouse positioned on the 1700 block of Stewart Road in Santa Monica.

Through the October 2 raid, legislation enforcement says it seized a stolen prepare cargo with greater than 2,100 pairs of unreleased Nike sneakers and 150 cartons of Nike attire.


In whole, LAPD estimated the stolen gadgets to be valued at $500,000.

As we beforehand reported, CoolKicks L.A. proprietor Adeel Shams was arrested throughout the raid for “Receiving Known Stolen Property over $950.00,” a felony.

He was auctioning off gadgets on the Whatnot app when the raid started.

A spokesperson for the sneaker retailer referred to as the incident a “complete shock” to the whole CoolKicks L.A. workforce … and claimed there was no information the gadgets have been stolen.

“We entered into this purchase in good faith, as we always have, committed to running an honest business built on integrity and trust,” the rep stated.

“It is important to clarify: there have been no allegations whatsoever from law enforcement that any of the products were counterfeit.”

“We deeply regret the concern and inconvenience this situation may have caused. CoolKicks has always stood for honest business, and that commitment will never change.”

Shams is due in courtroom on October 23.
