The one-acre waterfront estate sits along Nassau Harbor in the Bahamas.

MAISON Bahamas

One doesn’t often hear of a six-bedroom estate that sits under seven roofs. Villa Sul Mare off Nassau, the Bahamas, makes the most of its acre location along the waterfront by spreading out the living spaces within a lush green setting.

Located on the aptly named Paradise Island, the property plays to its tropical locale with plantings of stately palms, natural flora and a lily pond.

A linear lily pond stretches beside the stepping stones that lead to the home’s main entrance.

Pyramidal hip roofs bring a casual island elegance to the 6,500-square-foot interconnected villa, which has a large motor court on the street side. Concrete stepping stones cross the lawn to reach the main entrance.

The air-conditioned living spaces access patios. Interior details include soaring open-beam cathedral ceilings, stained maple floors and rack and recessed lighting. Sliding glass walls bring in expansive views.

The light wood cathedral ceiling and walls of windows bring an airy vibe to the great room.

MORE FOR YOU

The harbor-facing great room opens to a poolside terrace outfitted with upholstered seating. A roof-covered dining pergola shelters an outdoor kitchen. The 3,000-square-foot outdoor area also contains a grill, a ping-pong table and a sunning deck.

The sleek European-inspired kitchen has double islands and state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances.

Dual islands create counter space in the kitchen.

There are seven bathrooms, featuring granite countertops and walls of marble and Italian glass, including two outdoor showers.

Ryan Knowles of MAISON Bahamas is the listing agent for 112 Harbour’s Way, Nassau, The Bahamas. The asking price is US $14.75 million.

A pergola covers an al fresco dining area and outdoor kitchen.

The property is one of the 122 single-family homes and 88 condominiums making up Ocean Club Estates Bahamas. The gated development features an 18-hole championship golf course, two beaches, 24-hour security and a clubhouse, among other amenities.

The 685-acre (277-hectare) Paradise Island is home to the Atlantis resort, which has beaches, swimming pools, water-park rides and marine activities, as well as restaurants and an aquarium. Two bridges connect the island to Nassau.

Lawn surrounds the resort-like swimming pool at the back of the house.

Among movies filmed on Paradise Island are the 1954 classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Thunderball, The Spy Who Loved Me, Splash, two Pirates of the Caribbean films and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Celebrities who have owned homes on Paradise Island include Nicolas Cage, Mariah Carey, Johnny Depp and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
