SB19, Mew Suppasit, Dimash Kudaibergen, BTS And Blackpink’s Lisa: The Most-Talked-About Songs On Twitter

Last week, BTS replaced themselves at No. 1 on Billboard’s newly-established Hot Trending Songs chart, which ranks the tunes that were tweeted about the most. The South Korean band’s “Butter” traded places with “Permission to Dance,” and now, “Butter” rules again. In fact, the top two slots see absolutely no movement, as Seventeen’s “Rock With You” is also steady in the runner-up rung, where it debuted last frame.

Three songs launch inside the top 10 on the Hot Trending Songs chart, with musicians from three different countries in Asia debuting brand new singles inside the highest tier on the new ranking.

Up to a new high of No. 3 is “Spaceman” by Thai performer Mew Suppasit. Last week, that cut opened at No. 7. The singer leaps over two of Lisa’s singles, with “Lalisa” switching spots with “Money,” as the former lifts to No. 4 while the latter declines to No. 5.

The highest-ranking debut this week’s Hot Trending Songs chart comes from Dimash Kudaibergen, whose new single “Fly Away” manages to arrive as the sixth-most-discussed track on Twitter. The Kazakh musician is new to the list, but clearly he has a large enough fan base all around the world to rack up enough tweets to appear on this roster.

Right behind that debut comes another, as NCT 127’s “Favorite” starts its time on the Hot Trending Songs chart at No. 7. The tune fronts the South Korean boy band’s latest project, which is also titled Favorite, and which is a repackaged edition of their recent album Sticker.

After falling from No. 1 to No. 3 last week, BTS’s “Permission to Dance” slips again, this time landing at No. 8. Two spots further down, the septet appears once again, as their collaboration with Coldplay, the ultra-catchy “My Universe,” dips one rung to No. 10.

The third and final new entrant inside the top 10 on the latest edition of the Hot Trending Songs chart comes from Filipino vocal band SB19. The group’s new single “Bazinga” arrives at No. 9, bringing them to this still-new ranking for the first time. The song is featured on their just-released EP Pagsibol, the second-ever collection from the quintet.

These were the most-talked-about songs on Twitter last week, according to Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart.
