Rising Non-Profit Takes On Global Warming, More

A rising global public broadcast & digital nonprofit intends to become a major force in defeating global warming and in the protection of our precious planet.

One World Initiative (OWI) is tackling the threat through innovative programming including interviews with top environmentalists, educators, scientists and philanthropists, producing documentaries and features and providing a global media opportunity for the world’s youth to be seen and heard over OWI’s vast worldwide platforms.

“OWI’s aim is to bring the nations of the world closer together through broadcast and digital communication on subjects of global importance: including the Climate Crisis, Global Health, Economic Imbalance and Disinformation,” said OWI founder and President Sophia Luo.

“We recognize that global heating is an existential threat to our planet and its people,” Miss Luo said, “especially for today’s youth and coming generations. The current consumption of fossil fuels has become our coming generations’ Armageddon. More than for our generation, this menace is theirs to confront.”

She stated that her organization is launching an ambitious global program that will invite the submission of independent videos and films created by students at colleges, universities and high schools, in which they share their actions on the importance of curtailing global heating and how to achieve this goal. The best of these videos will be broadcast over OWI global television and digital platforms.

MORE FOR YOU

“Yes,” she said, “we are calling on today’s youth to submit their images and voices on this crisis to be aired worldwide on OWI’s multiple global platforms. This is their battle moreso than ours, we want to give them the opportunity to be seen and heard worldwide.”

“We look forward to creative and high impact student-filmed productions that will hopefully offer a variety of faster, better solutions to the climate crisis,” she said.

OWI Climate Broadcast award will be offered to those submissions rated as the most creative.

“Let me reiterate,” she said, “this truly is their battle: Let their views be seen; let their voices be heard. OWI is here to assist them.”

The nonprofit broadcast organization plans to develop programming to address other initiatives of global concern such as improving public health programs worldwide, encouraging joint multinational development partnerships, enhancing educational opportunities and fighting off the growing trend of malicious misinformation and disinformation.

“As our organization grows,” Miss Luo said, “we will be taking on these global problems by shining a light on the causes and solutions for them through reporting that is thorough, accurate, insightful and inspirational. We see these broadcasts as an important contribution to bringing our world closer together for a better future for current and future generations.”
